MXS 5.0 is a fully automatic, 8-step charger which gives 0.8 A or 5 A for 12 V batteries between 1.2 and 110 Ah and is appropriate for maintenance charging up to 160 Ah. The charger is IP 65-rated (protected from splashes and dust), protects the vehicle electronics, does not create sparks and is polarity-protected and short circuit-proof. The charger resolves many battery-related problems and is perfect for anyone with stringent demands. The MXS 5.0 has functions which examine and indicate whether the battery can be charged and maintain its charge, a special reconditioning function that restores stratified and deeply discharged batteries, unique maintenance charging and a function for optimised charging on cold winter days. The MXS 5.0 is also capable of charging demanding batteries (e.g. Optima). The entire charging process can be monitored in the display.
