Make sure the stud you select has a margin of 1 mm between the length and the tyre’s lug height. In other words, for an 18 mm stud, the minimum lug height is 17 mm. The thickness of the cord varies by 4-20 mm depending on the type of tyre. The stud’s threads must be surrounded by rubber. Do not install in the lug gap or prefabricated stud holes.
